White Sox lineup

Closed

Here’s Ricky Renteria’s lineup for the visiting White Sox

Looks like Melky Cabrera is fine after he left with a foot bruise during the game vs KC yesterday afternoon.  Yoan Moncada will get his first taste of the city rivalry.  Haven’t watched him yet but heard good things about him.  Lots of upside.  Pretty much this is the lineup the Sox will have unless of course someone inquires about Melky.  But as Renteria said recently he is surprised no teams have inquired about him.  Cabrera has said he wants to stay and is very well liked in the clubhouse.  As many Sox fans already know, Jose Quintana will not pitch in this series as he started last night vs St. Louis.  His next scheduled start will be in Milwaukee on Friday vs the Brewers.  I’ll keep track of any possible potential trades since the deadline is a week from today.  Pretty sure Cubs president Theo Epstein and GM Jed Hoyer are looking to add a starter or reliever.  Rick Hahn obviously will be on the lines if there is a deal for Melky or another inquiry to add more prospects to a surplus that he has added to retool the Sox farm system.
